Hello!

I’m Angelise, and I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. I began painting with oil as a teenager, and never looked back.

My artwork is a muddled up representation of my cultural, religious, emotional, and spiritual experiences as an Italian American, Roman Catholic woman. I am regularly inspired by the mystic tales of my Sicilian ancestry, biblical stories and iconography, and the cultural binaries of being the middle child of my father, a native New Yorker, and my mother, a traditional Sicilian.
